A way for all of us to keep connected and let Rob/Dad know that we are thinking about him.

Between 7-10am
That is the time they have given us tomorrow that they are going to take him off the breathing machine. They are going to put him on a C-Pap machine which is what they put people on that have sleep apnea. We will still spend the rest of the time up until then trying to convince him that he needs to do what's best, what will get him better the fastest. Thank you everyone that has sent a post, I will be reading those to him shortly. Will give you updates as I get them. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers.

Hi Uncle Rob! So word on the streets is that you're being STUBBORN about letting the doctors and nurses fuss with you...surprise, surprise! That's the Rob we all know and love. But I know Collette would never forgive you if you weren't there to meet Finley when she's born. Your baby is having a baby! And April's due any minute now...yet another grandchild you get to meet soon. We all love you to pieces and want nothing more than for you to get better and get off all of those tubes and wires when it's TIME for that to happen! Hugs and kisses from the Drake family. We love you!
ReplyDeleteFor Uncle Rob...you are not a quitter, you have never been a quitter and you should not be one now. A little more time to build up strength is not that much to ask for. You have the best family anyone could ask for, a wife that love you, children that love you, grandkids that love you, dogs that love you, a sister that loves you and the rest of her family that love you, as well as all of your friends and co-workers. That seems to me to be something worth fighting for. LIFE IS WORTH FIGHTING FOR! YOU KNOW THIS!! NOTHING IS EASY THAT IS WORTH IT, YOU WORK FOR IT! I know that this is your decision, but you should NOT make a quick decision for this. Never have I seen you quit, and I don't want to see it now. You can beat this if you only would listen to what the doctors are telling you. You can get better! You are constantly in my thoughts, as well as your family.
ReplyDeleteRob, this is from my Dad. He isn't computer savvy and didn't know how to post on this blog, but he sent me this message to pass on to you:
ReplyDeleteRob, I cant think when I have met a man with a kinder and more giving heart than you. You have always made every member of my family feel welcome and special when they were in your presence. I cant imagine what Enumclaw would be like if you were not there. Life can be hard, but there is always hope my friend. You have given so much of yourself to so many. Let God give you peace, Rob Chausse. Even when we are in the darkest moments of our lives, like you are now, He wants to give us hope, and all we have to do is accept it. It's a free gift. Rob, this world needs good men like you my friend! I need you here Rob! Your family and friends need you! I have seen a fight in you before, so I know you can fight for your life! Don't give up Rob. We all want you here with us. I am praying that God will give you the will to fight this battle for your life. You are an awesome man, Rob. Please keep fighting my friend.
With love, your friend Jeff Ducken
