So It Begins

At about 7am this morning they turned off the ventilator, dad is now breathing on his own.  He is taking even breaths, which is good.  They will be taking the tube out around 8:30.  I will do my best to keep you all informed on what happens then or if there are any changes up until then.  He wants mom to stay in the room with him, the rest of us are going in off and on.
